Tips For Shopping The 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
We’re officially 11 days away from Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access and I am so excited. Truly — this is the sale of all sales.
Below are a few tips to help you navigate it strategically (and without losing your mind).
First things first — key dates:
Early Access: July 12 -18
Public Sale: July 19 - August 4
TIP 1: Become a Nordstrom Cardmember
Not only does this give you access to shop early, you’ll earn 3 points per dollar spent — which can be redeemed for Nordstrom Notes (aka $$$ off future purchases).
Right now, you can receive a $60 Note when you’re approved for a Nordstrom Credit Card.
Each cardholder also gets personal Triple Points days, which can be used during the sale. It does take about a week to receive your card in the mail — but when I applied in-store, they gave me a temporary card to use immediately until mine arrived. So don’t let that stop you.
TIP 2: Make a list before you shop
This sale can be overwhelming because everything is brand new — and the good items sell out fast.
Go in with a plan. Make a list of pieces you wear most or already know you want. That way you’re not distracted by things just because they’re “on sale.”
For me? Sweaters, booties, and a great plaid coat are at the top of my list. Once those are checked off, then I’ll browse.
Strategy > chaos.
TIP 3: Contact a personal stylist
They may be able to pull items ahead of time and have them ready when you arrive, which makes the entire experience so much easier.
I did this for the Triple Points event back in March and it was seamless. I already have my eye on a few NSale items this year, so this is definitely on my radar again.
TIP 4: If you’re shopping in-store — eat and hydrate
I cannot stress this enough.
Eat a solid meal beforehand or throw snacks in your bag. The fluorescent lighting alone drains me and I swear I always leave with a headache if I’m not prepared.
Comfort first. Always.
TIP 5: If you’re skipping the store, shop online.
